Wooster Whoops Lexington 54-43

LEXINGTON -- Wooster continues their unbeaten streak to start the season by rolling to a big conference win at Lexington with a successful 54-43 performance over the Minutemen.

It was a slow scoring and close game through the first half of action before both teams really picked it up in the second half. Each team combined to shoot 37 percent from the field through two quarters of play with an 11-0 Generals run landing them on top by the break, 27-18.

The second half was a different story, as Wooster came out strong and Lexington lagged behind but by the end of the third, both teams had found their footing on offense and Lex began to close the gap. The Generals would shut down any idea of a Lexington comeback with excellent free throw shooting off some costly fouls down the stretch, sealing their seventh consecutive victory to open the season.

Wooster was led in scoring by both David Nolen and Brayden Hamilton who chipped in 15 points a piece as the Generals remain unblemished in conference play at 4-0.
