MANSFIELD --After a back-and-forth game for three quarters, Mansfield Senior used a 27-6 edge in the 4th to cruise past cross-city foe Mansfield Temple Christian 74-47 in what is believed to be the first meeting between these programs.

 

The Tygers had 11 different players score, led by Amil Upchurch’s 13 points, nine of which came in the 4th quarter. Shad Creamer finished with 11.

 

Temple Christian had four players finish in double-digits, led by Grant Baker’s 13 points. Grant Spencer and Kristian Chapman each had 11 while Matthew Simpson had 10.

 

The Tygers defense forced the Crusaders into 25 turnovers which they turned into 28 points, improving to

3-4 with the win.
