The #2 Madison Lady Rams are preparing for its first trip to the Division 2 State Girls Soccer
Championship on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM against #1 Kettering Alter at MAPFRE Stadium in

The Lady Rams (18-1-4) only loss in the regular season came to Anthony Wayne, who is the top-ranked
squad in Division 1 and playing in the Championship game on Saturday night.

In the tournament, Madison had little trouble except for two instances. The first coming in the Lexington
District Final against Ontario where they held off a late Warrior comeback 4-3 and on Tuesday when
Ashleigh Bechtel sent the Lady Rams to the Final with a goal in the 5th minute of overtime to defeat
Chagrin Falls 1-0.

The Alter Lady Knights (20-1-1) dropped its first match of the season 3-1 to Centerville and then ran off
13-consecutive victories before tying Cincinnati Mariemont in the second-to-last game of the regular

In the tournament, the Lady Knights have outscored its opponents 23-1 with its lone goal allowed coming
in a 9-1 rout of Brookville in their sectional final.

Alter defeated common opponent Granville 3-0 on Tuesday in the State Semifinal. Madison tied the Blue
Aces 5-5 back in September after leading 5-3 with 11 minutes remaining.
