It's now a perfect 13-0 start to the season for state-ranked Shelby who took care of Ontario 47-36 on the road behind Emma Randall's big scoring night.

 

With the O-Zone fueling them throughout the contest, the Lady Warriors hung tough for most of the night, holding the Lady Whippets to just 14 first half points as they led by one at the break. Randall would then find her groove offensively after being shutout of the scoring column in the second.

The Youngstown State commit filled it up for eight in the third and six more in the fourth as Shelby took a 28-24 advantage into the final frame where they made 10 of 11 free throw attempts to ice the victory. Olivia Baker cashed in all six of her freebies down the stretch finishing with 11 points to go along with Randall's game-best 21.

Ontario featured a balanced scoring attack with five players scoring 4 or more points, led by Ashten Vavra's team-high 9, followed by 8 from Carleigh Pearson.

The Lady Whippets now have a stranglehold on the MOAC title race at 7-0 in league play while Ontario dips to 6-5, 2-4.
