Rams Dominate Ontario 4-1
A monster first half by visiting Madison help sink Ontario at their place as the Rams smoked the Warriors 4-1.
On a soggy night, Madison took a 3-0 edge into the break on goals by James Wagner, Gavon Huggins and Ali Rabee, who drilled home a penalty kick just before the end of the first half set up by an Ontario red card. Rabee then found Huggins early in the second half to make it a 4-0 Rams advantage as the Warriors were forced to play shorthanded with 10 players the rest of the way, but did score on a Brennan Blaising free kick to make it a 4-1 final.
For the match, Madison out-shot Ontario 26-8 as they ended the Warriors 4-game winning streak. Matt Weaver had a career-high 23 saves in net for the Big O in a losing effort.
The Rams (9-1-2) will next travel to Lexington (8-1-0) to play for the OCC championship while Ontario (6-3-0) will host Bay Village (7-1-2).
