Div II District Semifinals Lexington H.S.
Madison vs Clear Fork
Lady Rams Defeat Colts 4-0
Madison Headed To District Championship
The two-time defending Lexington District Champion Madison soccer squad will defend their title once again after knocking off Clear Fork 4-0 in their semifinal contest.
The top-seeded Lady Rams did all of their scoring in the opening half, lighting up the scoreboard less than three minutes into the match on a goal from Phyllis Stanfield. Paige Eldridge then extended Madison's advantage to 2-0 at the 22:40 mark on a rocket from outside the box.
Three-time OCC Offensive Player of the Year Taylor Huff, who set up Stanfield for the first goal, would add a pair of scores over the next 10 minutes that seemingly put the game out of reach. The Lady Colts didn't register a single shot on frame in the opening half as they found themselves in a deep hole that they couldn't dig themselves out of.
The Lady Rams (14-1-4) will now move on to face #3 Ontario (13-3-2) for the District crown for a third consecutive season.
Clear Fork wraps their season at 11-5-2 overall.
