Ontario Soccer Reloaded For Second Half Surge
With just about everybody returning from the programs best season in school history, the Ontario boys’ soccer squad expected to take another positive step in 2018. A pair of early season losses, however, combined with a mass suspension of starters for two conference matches has the Warriors thirsting for a chance to prove themselves in the season’s second half.
For the first time all year, Ontario has their full complement of talent as the team gears up for a busy finish to the regular season. The Warriors are scheduled to play nine games between Sep 24 and Oct 13 against a challenging collection of competitors, including Madison (8-1-2), Bay (6-1-2), Mansfield Christian (6-4-0) and Marysville (6-1-3).
Now at full-strength, Ontario’s veterans feel as though they have the talent and motivation to close out the season strong as they gear up for another deep postseason run. The Warriors (5-2-0) are approaching their second half with a new outlook maintaining what they feel is a realistic goal to end the year at the State Final Four.
