Local Foes Clash For D2 District

The Madison Lady Rams and Ontario Lady Warriors face off for the third-consecutive Division 2 District
Final on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Lexington High School.

The Lady Rams (14-1-4) defeated Mansfield Senior and Galion 10-0 to advance through the sectional.
They then defeated Clear Fork 4-0 behind two Taylor Huff goals in the District Semifinal.


Huff leads the team with 27 goals and 21 assists while Phyllis Stanfield (17 goals) and Kari Eckenwiler (10 goals) also have double-digit scores.

The Lady Warriors (13-3-2) defeated Perkins 10-0 in their Sectional Final and scored three-consecutive goals to defeat Lexington 3-1 in the District Semifinal. Ontario lost its regular season matchup at Madison 4-2, but has recovered to win its next five contests.


They are led by Kayla Spencer with 23 goals and 12 assists while Alaina Reed is the other Lady Warrior with double-digit goals at 19 for the year.

The winner will move to the Division 2 Regional Semifinal and will take on the winner of Rocky River and
Buckeye on Tuesday the 29th at 7:00 PM at a site to be determined.
