The Ohio Baseball tournament is well underway and today saw the Leipsic Vikings take down the Mohawk Warriors 5-0. In the first inning Leipsic would manage to load the bases but nothing would come of it as Landen Snyder would strike out two Vikings in a row to get them out of the inning unscathed. Those two K’s would be the first of many for Snyder as he would notch 9 total strikeouts on the night in 6 innings pitched. The opposing pitcher to Landen would be Tyler Sickmiller and while Tyler didn't have nearly as many strikeouts with just 4 he only let up 1 total hit through 7 innings pitched. The bump isn't the only place where Sickmiller would have an impact, he would also score the game's first RBI. In the top of the 3rd inning he hit a grounder to first that would score the runner on 3rd bringing the score to 1-0. After another quiet inning from the Warriors the Vikings would break the game wide open with 4 runs in the top of the 4th including a bunt single that would score one. Those 4 runs would be the final 4 runs for either team as Leipsic would go on to finish this one out in 7 innings 5-0 and advance to the Regional Final.
