Mapleton Girls Soccer

The Mapleton girl's soccer team invited the OH.Report out for practice as they continued with summer training and preparation for their 2020 fall season. However, this wasn’t just any practice.
Recruiters from the U.S Army were instructed to put them through multiple vigorous exercises to enhance the player's endurance and strength.
After a somewhat disappointing 2019 campaign, the Mounties look to regain control of the Mid-Buckeye Conference with new head varsity soccer coach Jason Hissong.
"We've got twenty-one girls coming into this fall season, that's six up from last year, got some great freshmen and we got some returning sophomores, juniors, and six seniors," Hissong says. "As long as we keep on the pace that we are, I believe we will be able to compete in the Mid-Buckeye conference.”
The Army's exercises weren’t enough to derail the Mounties who persevered throughout the challenging day. They look forward to plugging away at practice, conditioning, and training to ensure they'll be ready for the upcoming season when it arrives.
