Second-seeded Madison took care of business by clinching a sectional championship on their home turf with an 8-1 win over #9 Galion.

The Rams got a hat trick from senior Logan Davis who scored the first two goals of the match on a PK and an assist by Isaac Chitwood. After falling behind 3-nil, the Tigers found the back of the net with Devin McCarthy sending home Galion's lone goal.

 

Madison tacked on two more scores in the last five minutes of the first half to own a commanding 5-1 advantage at the break. Leading scorer James Wagner netted his second goal early in the second stanza to extend the Rams lead, then later assisted Carter Thompson for the final score of the match.

 

The #2 Rams (13-3-2) now advance to face cross-county rival #6 Ontario (10-5-3) in the D2 Clyde District Semifinals. The Rams and Warriors tied 3-3 earlier this month.

 

Galion finishes their season at 7-9-1.
