Madison Battles Back To Tie Ontario

It was a match full of runs between Ontario and Madison on Rams senior day, with the contest ending in a 3-3 tie at Rams Field.

It took the streaking Warriors less than five minutes to get on the board with Boston Baxter hurdling the keeper to put away the game's first goal. Less than a minute later, Madison responded with senior captain James Wagner drilling the equalizer.

It was a 2-1 score at the half in favor of Ontario, though, with Ethan McCoy scoring the go-ahead goal. The Warriors would extend their advantage to 3-1 near the midway point of the second half on a Josh Young score that seemed to build momentum in favor of the road team. The Rams countered with a 15-minute stretch where coach Tim Lord said his team looked "as good as they had all season", scoring two unanswered goals by Logan Simpson to force a 3-3 draw.

Madison (11-3-1) is 1-3-1 after a 10-0 start and will wrap-up the regular season with a match at Springfield. Ontario (7-4-3) runs their unbeaten streak to 8-straight games and have two more matches before tournament starts.
