Minutemen Put Together Strong 2nd Half
In 5-0 Win At Ontario On Opening Night

In a rematch of last year's District Championship match that needed a pair of OT's to decide, Lexington and Ontario would again play a tight match for the opening half before the Minutemen poured it on in the second stanza for a 5-0 win on the road to kick off the season.

The game remained scoreless for most of the first half before Lex broke through with just 2:27 remaining before the break on a Gavin George rebound that found the back of the net. The goals would then start to pile up with Lexington, putting home a quick pair to start the second half that tilted momentum squarely in their favor.

The Warriors had an opportunity to get on the board with a PK to cut down the Minutemen lead to 3-1, but Connor McCauley's shot hit the cross-bar and Ontario never really created another scoring chance. Lex would capitalize with two more goals to put the game on ice, cruising to an opening night win under the Friday night lights.
