Lexington Seniors Want 1st Win vs Clear Fork

The football rivalry between Lexington and Clear Fork will be renewed this Friday night where senior members of the Minutemen are seeking their first victory over the Colts on the gridiron.

Following a 2 year hiatus in the Richland County matchup with Clear Fork exiting the OCC to join the MOAC, Lexington seniors will get their last shot at beating the Colts after losing to them in heartbreaking fashion every season between 2013-2015.

Clear Fork will also be coming off their first regular-season loss since 2016 with the program's 21-game winning streak snapped by Granville in their home opener last week. The Minutemen will also be eyeing a bounce-back performance after a roller coaster of results during the first two weeks of the season.

A dominating 47-21 victory over Ontario in Week 1 saw a series of explosive plays for Lex, where Kaydan Berry also set the school's single-game rushing mark with 296 yards on the ground. Week 2 at Shelby yielded very opposite results, with the Minutemen ground game struggling throughout a 42-14 loss.

The purple and gold feel as though they've learned from their performance dichotomy and are motivated to move forward against their formal league rivals.
