Galion’s Kerrigan Myers
Wins 100 Hurdles State Title

After setting a Regional record in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a blistering time of 14.05, Kerrigan Myers took the Division II State Championship in the event by edging the 2-time defending champ at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus.


With a time of 14.10, the Galion junior standout just edged state record-holder, Leah King of Perry, who finished in second with a 14.16 to claim gold.


Myers also took home a bronze medal in the 4x100 relay at state, standing at third place on the podium along with senior Jalyn Oswalt, fellow junior Brooklyn Cosey and sophomore Kaitlyn Bailey.
