James Williams Bringing
Free Gospel Concert To Mansfield
The city of Mansfield will have an opportunity to experience rising gospel music performer James Williams & Company for free on September 27 at Maddox Memorial Church of God In Christ, located at 1148 Walker Lake Road.
The local gospel star is one of four musical acts slated to perform, along with fellow Mansfield artists Kristin Scott and Trybe Called Judah, plus Akron's Brianna Collins.
Williams, who collected four Kingdom Image Awards last year for his debut album, "Praiseology: The Freshman Years", including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year, comes from a talented family of musicians. His father plays the organ and is the lead musician at Maddox Memorial, while his mother has directed choirs.
James says music "comes natural" and that he enjoys his craft. He invites all members of the public to join him and the other talented acts for the free show at 7 pm on Friday night where he will perform some fan favorites as well as some "new flavor", as Williams put it.
