It was a senior night to remember for the St. Peter's girl's soccer squad who rode a special performance by a freshman to a 4-0 win over Galion High School (2-6-1).
Galion 12th graders received recognition before taking Pat Curran Field, followed by a ceremony for Lady Spartans seniors Elizabeth Boothe and Sophie Tridico. It would be a first-half hat trick from Kiyah Wentz, though, that built St Peter's lead.
Galion didn't capitalize on the few offensive opportunities they would create with keeper
Abi Baldasare anchoring a solid St. Peter's defense. The shutout win is the second straight for SP at home, who improve to 5-3-1 heading into a road game at Loudonville (2-4-1).
