Top Area Senior’s Join Forces On South All-Stars

The aggressive nature one must attack their opponent with to excel at the game of football doesn’t exactly lend itself to making buddy’s on the gridiron. For one week in the summer, however, the best senior players in the area put their differences aside and join forces to compete in one last game under the Friday night lights.

The North Central Ohio Football Coaches Association All-Star Classic will be played at 7 pm this Friday night at Lexington High School. Players are given a week to prepare on the practice field with athletes from the region divided into a North and South squad.

Clear Fork head coach Dave Carroll and his staff are getting the South All-Stars ready for their final high school football game with an assortment of talent coming together from rival school’s to compete on the same team. Hear from a handful of players from different programs who discuss what it’s like meshing with guys who they used to compete against or admired during their careers on the football field.
