Dominant 3rd Sends Upper Sandusky To District Championship

Following a slow start to their Division III District Semifinal matchup against Western Reserve, Upper Sandusky rolled to a 66-53 victory for a spot in the title game at Norwalk.

The Rams trailed by seven early, but rebounded to even the score at 15-15 by the end of the first and built a 26-24 advantage by the break. The third quarter ultimately sunk the Roughriders, who were outscored by 17 points in the frame, digging themselves too deep of a hole to overcome.

Connor McCreary and Trevor Clifford each scored 23 points to pace Upper Sandusky’s scoring attack, while John Skrada had a dozen to lead Western Reserve, who wraps up their season at 17-5.

#2 Upper Sandusky (19-5) will next face top-seeded Willard (21-3) for the District crown.
