Dawg Days Of Summer Part 1: Shelby Whippets Training Camp

Following a 13-1 State Final Four season in 2017, the Shelby football team returned to the practice field for the new year needing to replace 19 seniors. Among the departed class of 2018 are a number of record breakers, including 4-year starting QB Brennan Armstrong, the programs only 3-time All-Ohioan.

The Whippets must find new players to replace the bulk majority of their offensive production over the last several seasons, including 10 vacant starting jobs on defense. As 6th-year Shelby coach Erik Will and his staff look to develop a new crew of fresh faces in an effort to continue their winning tradition, the OH.Report will be there every step of the way.

In Part 1 of this miniseries, go all-access with the Whippets during the first few days of organized summer practice sessions. Hear from coaches and players, watch position battles unfold and go inside the huddle to see how an inexperienced Shelby team develops from the start of their journey.
