#2 Napoleon Slows Bellevue 48-32

MANSFIELD --- A powerful Napoleon defensive attack slowed high-scoring Bellevue en-route to the D2 Mansfield Regional Final 48-32.

The Lady Wildcats and Lady Red couldn't find any offense in the first quarter with Napoleon holding a slim 5-2 lead after eight minutes.

​

The Lady Wildcats then found some footing in the second quarter as co-players-of*the-game Taylor Strock and Caely Ressler combined for 16 points while holding Bellevue 2,000 point scorer Cory Santoro to 2 points to take a 22-9 lead into the break.

​

Santoro and the Lady Red couldn't be kept down for the whole game as the team put up its best offensive quarter in the third outscoring Napoleon 16-12 to cut the lead to 34-25 heading to the fourth, but in the final period the Lady Wildcats answered nearly every Bellevue bucket and hit enough free throws down the stretch to advance to its second consecutive Regional Final.

Napoleon was led by Strock and Ressler, who each scored 17 points while the Lady Red were led by Santoro's 12 points while Brynn Vogel followed with 9 points.
