Constructing A Season: Ontario Baseball

It feels like a long time since the Ontario baseball squad started the season at 0-3 while playing in a nationwide tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Likely because the 17-3 Warriors haven’t dropped a single game after their slow start, accumulating a perfect record on the diamond since returning to the Buckeye State.

The red-hot Ontario bunch is riding a 17-game winning streak into the weekend with a ton of confidence riding with them. With a team batting average over .330 and an ERA below 2.7 for the season, the Warriors have proven to be nearly impossible to defeat throughout their incredible season.

Perhaps the toughest test since their opening week tournament in Myrtle Beach is on the schedule on Friday, though, when Ontario hosts 13-2 Lexington. The top-seeded Minutemen and #4 Warriors could meet in the Heidelberg District semifinals in a couple weeks depending on how the tournament shakes out.
