Colts Trample Galion, Tie For MOAC Lead

Clear Fork bounced back from a heart-breaking loss at home to Galion by crushing the Tigers in 5 innings at Heise Park the following night, 16-3, for a share of the MOAC lead.

Colts starter Dylan Jewell was lights out for the first three innings, holding Galion without a hit as they built a 2-0 advantage with runs in the second and third. Then the Clear Fork bats started cooking in their offensive half of the fourth, scorching the Tigers for 13 runs in the frame as the team collected 18 hits as a unit.

Brock Talbott belted out six RBI with AJ Blubaugh adding three as seven Colts batters knocked out multiple hits. Jewell would go the distance from the hill, allowing two earned runs on four hits while scoring three times and driving in a pair runs.

The win puts the Colts at 8-2 overall, dropping Galion to 11-2 as both are now tied atop the league standings with a mark of 6-2 in MOAC games.
