Mansfield Boulevards 4th of July Games

To celebrate Independence Day every year, a historic Mansfield neighborhood pits members of adjoining streets against one another in a celebration of competition.

The Boulevards of Mansfield, comprised of Parkwood Blvd and Glenwood Blvd, plus a few free agents from nearby Brinkerhoff Ave, close of the neighborhood for a special 4th of July parade followed by a head to head clash in five different events. Residents from each neighboring street compete in a Frisbee toss, water sprinkler game, kids and adults tug of war, then finish things up with a water balloon toss.

For a second consecutive year, Glenwood Blvd won the title with victories in three out of the five events, earning the right to fly the championship flag in their neighborhood along with bragging rights for the next year.
