Boy's Hoops Local All-Ohio Selections

All-Ohio selections were made around the Buckeye State for the 2017-'18 season and North Central Ohio had a number of players recognized for their stellar play.

 

St. Peter's senior guard Jared Jakubick was a 1st Team selection in Division IV, averaging 24.5 pts, 8.2 rebs and 4 ast per game while shooting 60% from the field including an amazing 55% from 3-point range. His backcourt mate Elijah Cobb was named on the Honorable Mention list with 18 pts, 6.5 rebs and 5 ast per contest, as the Spartans duo helped lead the program to an AP poll championship and third consecutive Regional Final with a 27-1 record.

 

Colonel Crawford's Cam McCreary was a D4 Special Mention pick as a sophomore, scoring 15 ppg and handing out over 7 apg to lead the area. Buckeye Central senior guard Max Loy was also s Special Mention selection for D4 with 18 ppg to go along with 6 rpg.

 

Wynford's Josh Crall scored nearly 20 ppg and averaged over 6 rpg during his sophomore season, earning D3 Honorable Mention honors.

 

Cade Stover was a 2nd Team All-Ohioan in Division II averaging a double-double for Lexington as a junior with 18 ppg and 13 rpg.

 

Clear Fork's senior forward Chance Barnett put up over 18 ppg, leading the Colts to their most wins since 2003-'04 to earn D2 Special Mention honors.

 

BJ Patrick was a D2 Honorable Mention selection for Mansfield Senior helping revive the 16-win Tygers with 13 ppg.

 

Madison's Kyle Jackson was a 3rd Team All-Ohioan in Division 1 leading the Rams wq
